Registration for this contest is now closed.  All entries have been received and are ready for your votes!All proceeds benefit Newspapers in Education (NIE). Our NIE program provides newspapers to local teachers for use as part of classroom instruction at no charge to the schools.


There will be 3 rounds of voting:

Preliminary:   2/20 through 2/26 - all 49 pets available for votes in this round! - Completed!

Semi-Finals:   2/27 through 3/11 - Top 35 pets compete for your votes in this round! - Completed!

FINALS:   3/14 through 3/22 - Top 20 pets compete in this round for your votes!

To Vote in the Finals (starts Thu, Mar 14th) :

- You must register and login to vote for your favorite pet online, or come by the Yuma Sun office, 2055 S Arizona Avenue, and visit the Circulation department.

- Votes are $1 each and can be purchased online in groups of 5. To purchase your votes, click the 'Buy' button at the top of the page, choose the number of votes you'd like to purchase from the drop-down and enter your information. Votes may also be purchased in any amount at the Yuma Sun office, 2055 S Arizona Avenue, in the Circulation department.

The overall winner will be featured on the 2013-2014 Cutest Pet full page calendar, and the top 12 vote getters will be featured on rack cards around Yuma County.
